Mrs. Abby James is a board-certified nurse practitioner. After earning her undergraduate degree in Health and Human services at Vanderbilt University, she stayed on for her graduate studies and earned a masters degree in Nursing in 2005. Abby graduated with honors and was an active member of Sigma Theta Thau, the international society of nursing. After the completion of her studies, she remained in Nashville and worked in Women’s Health for two years before joining Belle Meade Dermatology in February of 2007. Abby is an active member of the American Nurses Association, the Tennessee Nursing Association, as well as the Dermatology Nurses Association. Abby deals with all aspects of general dermatology, but especially loved her acne and psoriasis patients. She treats hyperhidrosis patients and is a speaker on behalf of Botox as a treatment option. She is passionate about cosmetic dermatology and is certified in the administration of Botox and dermal fillers. She loves discussing skin care with patients and assisting patients to design a skin care regiment that is best for them. Abby enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking, and above all spending time with her husband and baby boy, born in the fall of 2011. She also has a soft spot for her two furry friends, Tanner and Mr. Gatsby.
